If you have a Cricut or Silhouette, you understand my obsession with designing SVGs and making all the things on this machine.

When you throw Christmas in the mix, well, there are no words.

SVG FILES: A CHRISTMAS GIFT-MAKING MIRACLE

Christmas SVG files are some of my favorites, and I think you’ll love what I’m going to share today. Not only are these files amazing for own Christmas décor, but they’re fantastic to use for gifts.

Creative. Homemade. Inexpensive. Checks off all the ‘perfect Christmas gift’ boxes.

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS FROM SVG FILES

So what kinds of things can you make with these files?  Really, if you can imagine it, you can probably create it. If you can stick vinyl or HTV (heat transfer vinyl) to it, it’s doable. But when it comes to Christmas gifts, here are some of my favorites:

1| SIGNS

Who doesn’t love a farmhouse sign? I LOVE Christmas signs, and I’m constantly moving them around my house and changing things up.

Most people these days decorate their entire house, so a farmhouse Christmas sign will definitely not go to waste.

2| MUGS

There’s something special about drinking the 1st cup of coffee in the morning from a mug you love. Especially if it’s homemade and given to you with love.

{Pro-tip: Choose a quality mug! Some people are pretty picky about their mugs – (hand-raised!) }

3| TUMBLERS

Who isn’t walking around with a tumbler full of coffee or water these days? Travel cups are a super-fun gift to give (and receive!). They bring the Christmas spirit with you on-the-go, and they are often great conversation starters.

4| ORNAMENTS

One of my favorite things each Christmas is seeing all the ornaments I’ve received over the years. Each one brings back a special person and time in my life.

Looking at ornaments every year is a walk down memory lane, and I know it will be super-meaningful for someone to receive!

{Pro-tip:  Add the year and ‘Love, _____” on the back. Don’t ask me how I know this!}

5| TOTE BAGS

As a mom, I can never have enough of these. I honestly need a different size and kind for every outing. Having a festive Christmas bag is great when someone is always out and about, and they’re also great for a reusable shopping bag as well.

6| T-SHIRTS OR SWEATSHIRTS

Graphic tees or sweatshirts are a super-popular fashion choice.  Giving one as a gift to sport during the Christmas season is a welcome choice! T-shirts can also be fun conversation starters, too!

{Pro-tip: Long-sleeved Ts or sweatshirts are a good choice for a Christmas shirt. And give it early so they have the whole holiday season to wear and enjoy.

Or, you can go with a winter vs. Christmas theme instead. See #8 }

7| PILLOWS

Pillows are another fun home décor choice. Lots of people change out pillows for Christmas and other seasons and like to put them on the porch rockers or benches.

There’s always room for a cozy pillow.

Making your own scroll frame would be a great choice for an SVG file print! This makes a huge impact on Christmas décor, and it will surely be loved. Enlarging it and putting it in a traditional frame would look amazing, too.

9| GALVANIZED BUCKETS OR PAILS

I have so many pails and buckets that I’ve spray-painted in that galvanized silver chalkpaint, and adding a design to one of them would look amazing!

This would be a super-fun gift you can give, especially when you fill it with all kinds of goodies that you know they’d love!

These are just a few ideas to get your brain going, but I’m sure you can come up with even more creative ways to use these Christmas SVG files for gifts. And when in doubt, look at Etsy!
