A few years back I pretty much went hog wild when it came to making DIY Christmas Signs. In fact, I made so many that one year that my oldest daughter told me to stop because we had too many. Ha!

DIY Christmas Signs for Silhouette and Cricut Crafters

I admit, it did look like Hobby Lobby threw up in my living room but that didn’t stop me from making signs. It started with this Christmas Tree Farm sign.

I was so happy that a sign that I envisioned in my head actually came out just as I pictured and hoped it would. Well, that was all the motivation I needed.

I went on to make this Merry & Bright sign that was used as an item at our churches silent auction. I’m sure my daughter was glad that yet another sign did not stick around.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a SVG to share with you but this is so simple enough for you to make yourself. I used the font “Hello Wedding” for this design and you can get it HERE.

Next up was this adorable Reindeer Names Sign. Now this one…..oh this sign……what a labor of love it was! So many hiccups with this one but it’s still one of my favorite signs to date. You can get the full tutorial with links to the free cut files right here in THIS post.

I even made a teeny tiny sign using my FREE Happy Holla Days SVG. I admit, this one was more like a test project but I love how it came out. All it needs is a ribbon on the back and it becomes a Christmas ornament.

Okay, enough of this trip down memory lane. Ha! Let’s get to this super simple DIY Reindeer Sleigh Rides sign.

First let me say that this photo is definitely not my best ~~it’s actually probably the worst~~. I took it with my phone and well, life happens and I didn’t have time to photograph it like I normally would. Holidays and work and family..you know the deal. #dontjudge

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to it.

Supply List to Make this DIY Christmas Sign

Unfinished Wood Sign – I used an 18″x5″ board from Michaels

Craft paint in 2 colors of your choice – I used red and white

Paint Brushes

Reindeer Sleigh Rides SVG (download available below)

Silhouette or Cricut Cutting Machine – I have a Silhouette Cameo but the SVG File will work with both machines and corresponding software.

PVPP Method for Making DIY Signs

For this project I used the PVPP Method. PVPP stands for Paint, Vinyl, Paint, Peel. Instead of adhering the actual design to your project, you would do the opposite and use the design as stencil. This method is called the PVPP.
