I’m soaking up the last week of summer down in NC with my family but back to school is on my mind. This year is the first year I’m not prepared. I picked up school supplies but had to do some school shopping while on vacation. But at least I have my back to school teacher gift all ready.

Now I’m not a teacher but I’ve heard talk and read articles regarding gift ideas for teachers. Considering how many students they have I can imagine that getting a ton of useless (albeit thoughtful) gifts could be overwhelming. So, why not give them something they can eat and enjoy, right? And since everyone seems to be on a health food kick lately, an apple is perfect.

We eat apples a lot in my family. Today I tried it with some caramel dipping sauce and oh.my.word. I thought I died and went to heaven! Why have I never tried this before???? It was so delicious! So, for this back to school teacher’s gift we are going to give some caramel dipping sauce with the apple. What I love about this is that you can give the gift to your child’s teacher and they don’t have to worry about refrigerating it. The individual caramel dipping sauce is perfect. It only needs to be refrigerated once it’s opened. I picked mine up at  Target in the produce section.

You’ll want to pick up some clear cello bags and cute ribbon for this project. You can grab the download link for the cute tags below. If you have a 2″ circle punch or scalloped paper punch that’s great for this project. If not, just cut the tags out with scissors. Printing them out on card stock works best.
