One of the hardest people to shop for on special occasions is mom. She spends so much time sacrificing for her family that when asked what she wants she often says “nothing”.

Creating something handmade is something that she can hold onto forever and cherish for years to come. My mom still has some of the written projects and handmade gifts that I gave to her when I was younger and we always got a good giggle out of reading them years later.

I still laugh when I think of the recipe book I made my mom in first grade and my instructions were to make grilled cheese in the microwave oven!
