One thing I truly love about this free svg file is that it can be used for all of the patriotic American holidays. Memorial Day, Independence Day (4th of July) and Veteran’s Day are the big 3.
I love a free SVG that has multiple uses.

This free Memorial Day download comes with the SVG cut file (of course) along with a PNG with a transparent background.
Transparent PNGs are perfect for printing. I especially love to use them to create stickers. Side note: PNG Files that you download from here are usually very big and will need to be resized down prior to printing.

WHAT CAN I MAKE WITH MY SILHOUETTE CAMEO AND THIS “LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE SVG?
If you are visiting here for the first time and have heard about SVGs and the Silhouette Cameo but really have no idea what types of things you can make, here’s some basic info.
Wood Signs and Door Hangers
To make a “Land of the Free Because of the Brave” Sign you will need a wood craft blank, vinyl, transfer tape, weeding tools, paint, cutting mat and your Silhouette or Cricut machine.
DIY Mugs, Wine Tumblers and Water Bottles
If you want to make drinkware you will need a drink blank which you can pick up at Target, Michaels, etc. and the same items from the wood sign.
DIY Tote Bags for Memorial Day
To make a Land of the Free Tote Bag, you will need a blank tote bag (the canvas ones from Michaels or Hobby Lobby would be perfect), HTV (heat transfer vinyl), heat press or home iron, weeding tools, cutting mat and of course your Silhouette or Cricut.
Patriotic Stickers
I love stickers and they are easier to make than you think. To make this Memorial Day design into a sticker you will need to use the PNG. Size it way down first though. You’ll need full sheet labels, cutting mat and your machine for this one.
Making stickers requires using the print then cut method.

The SVG is on a 12×12 artboard but you can size it up or down to your liking in Silhouette Studio or Cricut Design Space. The PNG is 300 dpi which is perfect for printing if you don’t have an electronic cutting machine.
If you have Silhouette Studio basic edition, you will need a DXF file. This file will only be provided upon request.
