So, my daughter is going to be 4 in a few weeks and since she's a Summer baby we always wind up just doing some sort of BBQ for her birthday. Well we decided enough was enough, this girl deserves a decent party and besides, she's been begging us for a party for the last year! {Hand Me a Clothes Pin, Pin Would Ya?}
Clothes pins have been come pretty popular lately. In fact Sweet Pea from Brown Paper Packages even posted a cute little valentine using an embellished clothes pin here at TGC last week. So stinkin cute. I'm so making those for my girls classes this year. While working on my bulletin makeover I thought that adding push pins to the back of my clothes pins would be a really cute idea. I could pin them towards the bottom of my bulletin board thus being able to hang important papers from them, giving me more room on the board for other stuff. So, that's what I did. This was probably one of the quickest, easiest projects to do. And you don't need many supplies. {Bulletin Board Facelift}
I went up to my office shhh, craft room to clean it up a bit and before long I was working on two projects. I really did have all intensions of getting it organized again after the mess it had become over the holidays but my meager little craft supplies must have been calling my name. And by meager I mean stuff I have kicking around the house that I better make good use. My craft spending is on hold for awhile. :( Booo!!Anyhow, while I was cleaning I saw a sorry, old bulletin board that looked like it needed a makeover. Lucky for me I happened to have my staple gun on hand and I got to work. Just your basic el-cheap-o bulletin board.I laid it on top of fabric (wrong side facing up) and just started folding the fabric over and stapling it along the edges. {Valentine’s Wreath}
Ah, I finally found some time to do a little craft in between the Mr. leaving for work this afternoon and going to pick my daughter up from Kindergarten. I de-christmasafied my house over the weekend and normally I don't decorate for any other holidays but since I've been crafting regularly these days I decided to get on the "Decorate Your House for Every Odd Holiday" band wagon. We're really trying hard not to do any unnecessary spending so any future projects are just going to have to be from stuff I find around the house. I hope everyone had a very safe and happy New Year! We rang in the New Year with some friends. Gracie fell asleep in the car on the way there and STAYED asleep the whole time. SCORE!!!!! Had a great time and hope you did too. :)I don't know about you but I'm super excited about this new year. We have set some personal goals like getting in better shape and paying off some debt, possibly expanding our family. Woo hoo!! I love change and can't wait to look back on 2010 and see how far we've come.Much to my dismay I have not had much time to craft or work on any projects this week. :( Boo!
