Hi there creative friends!  This is Elizabeth from Your Memories Your Story with a quick and simple Holiday Display.    My husband and I lived in a 200+ year old home when we first got married and I kept the old windows because I just knew I would use them someday.  Fast forward six years and this is someday.  I have been using one of them as a display item in our dining room for the holidays.

I think so often I get caught up in all the busyness of the season I forget the meaning behind all of this – the reason we celebrate – is a joyful one.  Joy to the world the Lord has come!  I am reading through Ann Voskamp’s book The Greatest Gift each morning this month and it is really helping me remember the joy – focus on the gift.  I don’t know about you but I really really need that!  Ok on to the tutorial part.  The J and Y were cut using my Artbooking cartridge on the Cricut.  I just hit the “fit to page” button so it would cut out at the largest setting.  This was my first time cutting vinyl and I was so pleased with how easily it cut and applied to the window!  I used some garland to make the “O” wreath.

Using silver glitter paper I cut out To The World using the same cartridge and put it in a frame in front of the window.

The December Daily album is displayed there as well.  For more information on that project you can check out my Blog Post and Video.

I hope you have a fabulously creative and joyful Christmas Season!  Take a moment to reflect . . . “All fear is but the notion that God’s love ends. And His love for you never will. So loosen up, because the chains have been loosed, and laugh the laughter of the freed. Laughter- it’s all oxygenated grace.” ~ Ann Voskamp  I’ll be reflecting and rejoicing with you.
