I had the fun opportunity to take a Kiwi Crate box out for a test drive and I have to say I was definitely impressed by how much stuff came with the box, how cute all of the packaging was and how simple, yet original the crafts were. Inside my box was a kit to make 2 Starlight Lanterns (including all of the supplies) and 2 Scavenger Hunt boxes. I decided to make the Starlight Lantern and save the rest for a fun rainy day activity for the kiddos.
Just in case you have never heard of Kiwi Crate here is some info you will find helpful. Kiwi Crate is a monthly subscription service, targeted at kids ages 3-7. We deliver a box to your child each month that’s designed around a certain theme (think Dinosaurs, Garden, Superheroes, Space.) In each box are 2-3 carefully designed and kid-tested projects, which cover a range of developmental areas and subjects, including art, science, and imaginative play. All the materials and inspiration to encourage creativity and curiosity are included – you just supply the kid! The subscriptions vary in price from $19.95 per month but discounts are available if you purchase several months at a time.
As soon as you open your box you are greeted with sign showing you exactly what’s in your box.
Not only is there fun stuff inside, there are adorable looking sketches (and free stickers just because) for your kids to color in.
My box consisted of 3 booklets with fun ideas and instructions on how to complete each of the projects.
One of my favorite things included in this kit was the 2 star punches. I’m kind of a sucker for paper punches so I was especially happy to add BOTH to my growing collection. Also included was a super cute deck of cards, great for playing Memory, Go Fish and Crazy 8’s!
Right now they have a summer sale going on. $10 off plus free shipping.
Grandparents – this would make a great gift idea for birthdays and holidays.
