Envelope Clutch with Ruffles…

Hello again everyone, it’s Jessica here from Me Sew Crazy for my Sew Crazy Tuesday feature! Those of you who know me, know that I have been obsessing lately over this ruffle fabric. And just when I thought I was finished with my stash…I came up with something to do with the scraps – lol.

I give you the envelope clutch…

Everywhere I look in magazines lately, the envelope purse seems to be the hottest trend. Figuring it couldn’t be too difficult, I sat down and decided to give it a go.

Having stocked up on Robert Kaufman’s Night and Day 3 fabric line in black and white, his ‘Rose Bush Summer’ was the perfect choice to make this eye catching bag! To add a bit of whimsy to my design, I added the yellow ruffles on bottom. But in all reality you can swap that tidbit out for anything that suits your fancy – ruffles, ribbon, gathered fabric – all will give you a super cute, and super trendy clutch for a night on the town! Make it a wristlet, add a strap, or keep it as a clutch. And for all you fabric buffs out there, what makes this bag even better? Something you can’t see…I lined it with Geo Dots black! Can we say awesome?! 🙂

I am thrilled with the way this came out, and I think you will be too :).

Happy Sewing!
