Reader Poll {Whatcha Thinkin} Inquiring Minds Want to Know!

So, I want to take some serious blog inventory. I totally love blogging but it’s really not very fun if my readers are not happy. So, tell me what your thoughts are on the following:

  • What would you like to see more of? DIY, Furniture Revamps, Free Printables, Recipes, Sewing, etc.
  • What type of posts/projects do you enjoy the most?
  • Just Something I Whipped Up – I noticed over recent weeks/months that the number of our links has gone down…..a lot! We used to get close to if not over 400 link ups and this week alone we barely made it over 200. Is Sunday/Monday not a good day? Are you turned off because you have to add our button to your blog. I want to know.

Okay, that’s all I can come up with for now. lol So, let me have it.  🙂

  1. The requirements for link up were so specific that I could never enter. I think that if we can put the button anywhere on the blog it helps instead of being told exactly where the button has to be. Other than that I love you blog totally happy with it.

  2. I’m a newer blog follower but I have enjoyed any tutorial on how to make my blog better. I am not good with web design so when you give advice for common mistakes or trouble areas that is really helpful (and valuable) to me.

  3. I absolutely love tutorials, furniture revamps, and free printables.

I like what the first comment said about buttons. It is nice to be able to put a button in your sidebar or blog roll instead of filling up your post. I have noticed many craft blogs will link up their work to MANY linkys. A button just might take up to much space on the post if they had to put all of the buttons.

I love this blog though. I appreciate all the hard work you put into it.

  4. Love your blog without a doubt and can only imagine how much time it must take you. A few posts did make it seem like there should be more focus on advertising your website in the correct place than the actual taking part.

  5. I really enjoy reading your blog and would love to see more DIY sewing tutorials and blogging tutorials. Im fine with the Linky button.

  6. Thank you SO much to everyone for your honest feedback! I really appreciate it! 🙂 I just wanted to clarify one thing about the linky party button: It has not been one of my requirements to add the button to each post that you link up. Actually, that rule at some other blogs has kept me from linking up because I just could not keep up with it. It was too much work. lol And personally, I (in my own opinion) feel that all those buttons make a post too cluttered. I had only recently asked that the button be placed somewhere on your homepage/sidebar and not a party page. I just wanted to clear that up. 🙂

I am taking everything into consideration and I truly appreciate everyone’s feedback. 🙂

Please keep the comments coming! xoxo

  7. I don’t always put the buttons in my posts, but I do have a specific page on my blog dedicated to the parties I join each week….. hope this helps. I do love your blog just as it is and enjoy your link ups… I visit the link ups even when I dont post!

  8. I love your linky party! My blogging overall has been down lately, and that’s the only reason I haven’t been linking. I fully intend to link up again once I get more crafts posted!

  9. I am fairly new and I love your blog. As a reader I always love reading tips on improving your own blog or tips on photo taking. And I love Linky parties. It’s a great way to get your blog out there and seen by tons of other readers!

  10. I love your blog and love your linky party. I still haven’t figured out how to add buttons to a specific post, so I just put a text link (to all parties that I linked that specific post up too)..hope thats ok. I love reading anything from DIY Home Projects, Recipes, Furniture revamps, etc! I even love the random personal posts that you do from time to time, ya know to change things up a bit!

  11. I personally have no interest in printables or recipes, I love the craft and DIY element. I put all my party buttons on my emails as some party hosts were getting a bit shirty about Blog Party pages. As someone who at a certain time was looking for new blog parties, I prefer the party pages! It doesn’t stop me linking though. Some weeks I have nothing to link. I tried to look back to see what your party requirements are, but I can’t find them in the old posts…

  12. I would love sewing tutorials! My mother never really taught me how to properly sew. Also, more budget friendly DIYs!

  13. I love tutorials, and I love your site. I like linky parties because it allows me to “meet” new people and find new projects, and it allows others to “meet” me.

I find that if I am not one of the first 200 links, then I don’t get much traffic at all, so I skip linking that week if there are lots of links already.

Also, there are some people who come back to my site and comment on my posts (which makes me happy). I am more likely to keep linking to their parties than someone who I have been linking to for months with no comment or feature.

That being said, I love link parties, and really enjoy your site. Thanks for hosting each week!

  14. Hi ya sweets! Ok, so you know I am new to this… but I think your linkys are sooo user friendly. You don’t ask for the link up in the post (I do that b/c I want to). I do have a spot on my side for the parties I like to link up and that works for me.

I love DIY, baking, crafts, easy glam, no-sew projects, and artsy stuff. A little of most, I guess— variety. 😀 Oh and lots of tutorials and printables!

My only idk, problem I guess, has nothing to do with you. I just get a tad turned off when visiting and commenting on so many posts without much feedback myself. The ones I do get back are so sweet but it is sad when people post their links and don’t visit (especially lil newbies like myself who need the encouragement). But that is not in any party host’s control.

Thanks soooo much for your help and the parties! You really have made this fun for me!
