Some of you may know that I had to leave my part time job at our district elementary school due to the in-person/hybrid schooling options I was given for my youngest who is in 4th grade. He’s home every M-W and only goes to school in person for 2 half days on Thursdays and Fridays.

As much as I tried to come up with one, there was no scenario that would work for my family if I went back to work. It was such a tough decision to make but definitely the right one. It has been a journey, let me just tell you!

Knowing that I would now be home and really feeling like I still wanted to contribute to our household finances I have been making it a point to keep this blog active with new content and new ideas.

I never really had a dedicated space to work though. I did all of my crafting at the kitchen table but with 3 kids doing remote learning and my small house, I literally had no place to work.

But that all changed when my husband took a week off of work in October and he and I gave our bedroom a MUCH needed makeover that included a work space for me! Hallelujah!

I plan to blog about it but for now here’s a quick peek at where I’ve been blogging and designing for the past few weeks.

Guys. That little desk near the window has been a godsend. It’s allowed me my own space to work and because of that I’ve been more productive than I have been in a long time AND I’ve had the chance to work on new Christmas SVG designs.

This sign has been on my radar for a few years now. I’ve wanted to make one for a long time but for some reason or another (probably bc of my scatterbrain-ed-ness) it has never panned out.

This week was THE week and I finally got to creating this awesome North Pole Trading Co. SVG.

REINDEER WITH ANTLERS CLIPART

Knowing that this sign will eventually end up in my Etsy shop, I wanted to make sure that I used graphics and clipart that were entirely my own. I drew this reindeer with antlers clipart in Procreate on my iPad and knew it would be perfect for this North Pole Trading Co design. What do you think?
