Happy to see the party this week!! I shared your post about breaking the blogging etiquette rules on my facebook page. Hi Guys! Hope you all had a great weekend! I’ve been MIA this past week, I know. The baby (not such a baby anymore. He’s going to be 1 in less than 2 weeks – boo hoo) was sick all week and I’ve been sick and worn out myself so I have not had the energy to blog much. There are actually a few things I have going on that I will tell you more about in a few days but for now, let’s get a partying!
Have a to-die-for recipe that you want to share; a new sewing project you are totally excited about; a cool idea for a Mother’s Day gift? Whatever it is, please share it with us. 🙂
XOXO

Thanks so so much for hosting, Diana! OK…my first kiss? I can’t even remember it…isn’t that awful? Must not have been anything too special…;) Hope you’ve had a great weekend!

I first kissed my husband on a midnight walk on the soccer fields at our college!
Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for hosting!

Since you have the best party ever, I will share my story. My first kiss was actually stolen by a drunk girl at a college party while I was playing designated driver! Oh, and was 17 at the time.
Thanks for hosting.
Thanks for hosting! Your ‘first kiss’ story is darling…so sweet 🙂 Little Bit
Thank you so much for hosting!
Cool stuff~! Thanks for hosting! My first kiss was a looong time ago. In 6th grade. We were at the library, and my little boyfriend at the time was sitting above me in this little house that was built inside the library. I just stood up and kissed him. 🙂
First Kiss: Grade 7 so maybe 12 or 13 years old. He lived down the street and had walked me home, as we were going our separate ways I was going in to give him a peck on the cheek, but he turned and it was on the lips! lol
Thanks for the party! First kiss- shortly before my 16 th birthday- yea I was a nerd–
Thanks for hosting. No.100 (Rob Hunt/Island Rustic) wasn’t able to comment from his blog so asked me to thank you as well.
Thanks for hosting! My first kiss was also when I was 19…I was old too!
Sally
loveofhomes.blogspot.com
Thanks for hosting!! I have the worst first kiss story! I was 16 (pretty old, too!) and went to visit my friend at her college. We were watching a movie with her boyfriend & his friend & her bf left so she walked him out.. I turned my head and got attacked by the WORST kisser ever. Totally caught me off guard & was slightly traumatic. But at least that awkwardness was over 🙂
That is terrible. What was that guy thinking!?
I was 19 or 20…So old like you 🙂
It was pretty lame. First date with a guy in college–just when he dropped me off at my apt door. We only went out once more after that. Good thing was that I wrote a song (I played guitar) that was loosly based on that experience, and it helped my husband first realize he liked me 🙂
Oh my, I don’t know how I’m just now finding you! Happy to be all linked up. First kiss you say…totally lame, on the school bus on the way home from school in 6th grade, just a quick little peck.
I’m happy to be a new follower, it’d be great if you wanted to stop over to see if you want to follow me back. 🙂
Karah @ thespacebetweenblog
My first kiss was in the summer of 6th grade. I was at a friends house and we played truth or dare and I got dared to kiss a boy. Ohhhhh.. I know! But trust me it was a lame kiss!
Thanks for hosting!!

Happy Monday morning to you! I created and thoroughly tested a recipe for Cheap, Organic Facial Moisturizer that ends up only costing $0.75 per 2.5 oz (standard facial moisturizer size)! Thanks for hosting the party once again. Have a great week!

Thanks for all the sunny inspiration in such a gloomy month! Zoe
Thanks so much for hosting this party!! I love your blog 🙂
<3 Michelle
Thank you so much for hosting! I was just introduced to your blog–so much inspiration! I write a blog for Goodwill about thrifting/diy/fashion at http://www.goodlifeblog.org. Have a great day!
Haha! I was 16 and this boy and I were in my car talking for a few hours. We were even talking about kissing. Finally I leaned in and said, “I’m half way there.” Then we kissed for like 4 more hours and my mouth was swollen the next day. Good times.
Thanks for hosting!
I was 19 before I kissed someone beyond a peck on the lips…so no hatin’ coming from my direction 🙂 Thanks for hosting.
My first real kiss didn’t happen until 20’s; prior to that was just pecks (smile). Thanks for hosting wonderful party! I’m now a linky follower.
Well, I don’t see a linky, so I guess I’m just a follower…
Mine was in middle school… a bunch of us were in my basement playing “Sardines”… the team hide and seek game where when you find someone you hide with them… well he found me and we kissed (he was a HUGE crush of mine). I do remember it being awefully slobbery though, haha.
You know it is sad but I can not for the life of me remember my first kiss – am I that old? I do however, remember the first kiss from my now husband like it was yesterday 🙂 I was an early childhood major in college and read him the children’s book I’ll Always Love You No Matter What to practice for my internship class the next morning. After I was done he asked me if he could kiss me – I was shocked – no one had ever asked me before they did it they just kissed me. I knew right there and then this was my man! He loved and respected me enough to ask for a kiss and not just take one 🙂
Thank you for hosting!
Mine was at a 7th grade dance watching the movie Jaws in the auditorium! Thanks for hosting! Here’s what we’re working on. http://psastampcamp.blogspot.com/2012/02/decorating-for-dudes.html
Thanks for hosting! My first kiss was with the man I now call my husband. 🙂 We were in his dorm room watching a movie when he made his movie. We later cracked up about how it all went down because the night involved a group date at the Olive Garden, during which everyone piled their onions onto my plate of salad because I love them so much! I remember my hubby getting so irritated that I was eating so many onions, and I later found out why. He knew that he wanted to kiss that mouth later! 😉
I’m a new subscriber to your blog and linked up my grandmother’s yummy recipe for Apricot Squares. Have a great night!
My first kiss with my husband was in junior high. We kissed in the hallway after school. It was more than just a little peck… a teacher saw us screamed and made a big scene over it and called our parents. *sigh*
Thanks for hosting!! Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Thanks for hosting! I LOVE all of the awesome ideas shared 🙂
My first kiss was with a boy in high school who took me to the movies and pulled the ‘yawn & arm around girl’ move. LOL When he then kissed me I was not impressed. :0
I just hopped over after reading your “What I Know Post” on Southern Lovely. I really enjoyed the post! My first kiss…I was 17 and dating my first boyfriend. We were saying goodnight when he leaned in and gave me a little kiss on my parents’ porch one night. Oh, the butterflies! 🙂 That first kiss was the start of many as we are now married, and he’s the only one I’ve ever kissed!
Thanks for hosting, I link up every week. I would love for you to check out my blog and follow me.
Today, I linked up my DIY Organic Dishwasher Detergent. It works great and smells good. I hope you enjoy! Have a rockin’ great weekend!

oh my he is just darling!! ya you will have a hard time topping 2011 with this lil angel around!!
What a beautiful baby boy – his eyes are gorgeous. My guess for a trend this year is polka dots…not sure why, it was the first thing that came to mind when I read your question about what will be popular this year. I know polka dots are already popular and timeless, so I’m not really going out on a limb by making that prediction :). I’m excited about a new year too – best wishes for a great one for you and your family! Thanks for hosting every week.
Happy New Year! I added my Sweet & Salty Neighbor Gifts tutorial-great for Xmas, New Years Parties, or whenever!

So, how is everyone doing? What’s been going on in everyone’s life? Tell me. 🙂
Things here have been nuts! The Kole-ster has a cold. So does my Gracie Girl. We had a leak in our bedroom from our roof from Hurricane Irene and we are so blessed that some friends from church are redoing our roof for us. That work began this weekend. Girl Scouts is in full swing so that is keeping me and my daughter, Emilee, busy. My anniversary is on Wednesday. 9 years married to this guy:
That’s him right before he ran his FIRST half marathon a few weeks ago. I was so proud of him. It was not easy but he set out to do it and he did it.
The past 2 weekends have been spent traveling to Long Island to visit my family so I’m ready for things to settle down. Oh, wait. The holidays are coming up……….no rest for this mama!
OH, I did manage to put some vinyl lettering and decals up on the wall in Kole’s room this weekend. Need to take some pictures and post. Yeah, that will probably never happen. lol What? Can’t I be honest? lol
Anyhow, it’s time to link your projects up. Grab a button (from the sidebar – I’m way too lazy to go dig up the code and add it to this post! but i did, however, whip up this little banner. lol) and spread the word. 🙂
XOXO

Just found your blog! Thanks so much for hosting – I’m loving all that I have found here!!
Great things on this list! I want to apologize, I just loaded mine–twice. The first one has the wrong link. I couldn’t figure out how to delete the first one. Help?! Thanks!!!
I’ve been kind of thinking a lot about Christmas already. Somehow I get the feeling I’m not alone. 🙂 I have some ideas brewing and I wanted to throw them out there.
First, I’m thinking of putting together a Christmas Gift Giving Directory. Basically, if you have a business and you are running holiday sales I want to add you to our Gift Giving Directory. Basically you would email me a link to your website/esty shop, info on the sale you are running or a discount code you are offering and I would create a directory. If this is somthing you would be interested in, leave a comment and let me know. If I don’t get a good response, I will probably scrap the idea.
Second, last year I hosted our first Creating Christmas Blog Fest. It lasted for 5 days and each day we had a themed linky party from Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas, to Christmas Recipes to Family Traditions. I would like to do some form of this again, including getting other blogs involved so if THIS is something you think would be good, leave a comment and let me know.
Have you taken advantage of the FREE photo canvas yet?? “Everybody’s doin it” and they make great Christmas gifts. 🙂 Click HERE to get started.
Happy Linking!
XOXO

I think both ideas sound great & I would participate in both.
Hi TGC! Have you moved your Monday and Friday link parties back to your main blog here? I couldn’t find them on your party blog? Just want to know which button I should include on my linkies list!!! Thanks 🙂
LOVE the Holiday party idea; keep us posted! I’ll try and participate for sure!
I would be interested in your Creative Christmas Blog Fest and I would love to add the linky-party for the “recipe day” on my blog! MOMS CRAZY COOKING: email me anytime: tinahudgens@aol.com

I apologize for entering twice – I think the first one won’t work. Please delete. DIY Window Treatment – 343 and 344 I think. Thanks so much!
The secret to sewing on stretch fabric with a straight stitch is to grasp both the back and front of the fabric and tug them taut so that the material is fully extended when sewing. When released, the stitches will have just the right amount of stretch. Be gentle with this!
Zig zag also has a certain amount of built in stretch on knit/stretch fabrics, so also try that (without the tugging).
Good luck.
about the sewing… I think you use a wider stich and pull the fabric as you sew it so that when you let go, it stretches back into shape. Try it on a sample. Good luck!
In typical TGC fashion, I’m mixing it up again. Have to keep you all on your toes! 🙂 This week Just Something I Whipped Up is being held here at the main blog.
By the way, my blogiversary is in about 2 weeks and I’d really LOVE to reach 200o followers by then. I’m less than 100 away. Just sayin…………
A quick little anouncement before we get started: Me and Tara from The Trendy Treehouse have decided to only co-host New Friend Friday on the first Friday of the month instead of every Friday so now with only one linky party running on this blog, I may just keep Just Something I Whipped Up here. I don’t know. I can never make up my mind but for today, link up here. 🙂
XOXO

This is my first stop by your blog and I couldn’t stop clicking on all of the fun crafty links. What a wonderful site!
I just got back from a trip to Long Island and we hit major traffic on the way home. It took us 4 hours and it should only have taken us 2. Grrrrrrrr!!! BUT it was well worth it because we were there to celebrate my grandparents 65th Anniversary! Yup 65 years of wedded bliss!
I finally got around to making the gathered clutch that Skip to My Lou had posted a few weeks ago. It came out super cute but I didn’t get to take pics of it yet but I will this week and will post. 🙂
It’s time for our Just Something I Whipped Up link party. I’m too tired to post the rules but know the deal. 🙂 Bring on the inspiration!!!!!!!!

65 Years… that’s something. But 65 blissful years… that’s something else. That’s awesome.
65 years… wow!!! I think that’s the longest I’ve ever heard of. They are blessed indeed to cherish each other for so many years.
I used to live on LI, and yes, the traffic can be a bear, quite a deterrent from traveling anywhere off the Island.
Wow, 65 years is a long time!! Not too many of those around! I wish them well and hopefully many more years!
A HUGE congrats to your parents… that is very impressive. Thanks for hosting every week 🙂
65 years is outstanding and is definitely worth the extra two hours on the way home, I am sure.
LOVE the new blog design! We celebrated my grandparents 60th this weekend 🙂
Thanks for hosting once again! I always find so may creative and inspiring ideas here!
Have a wonderful week!

Wow, 65 years of loving. Now that’s something to aim for! My hub and I will be in our 100’s if we are to make it, but if that’s what it takes…!!!
wow! that would be fifty more years for me and my hubby! it could happen- we’d ONLY be 85-86! congratulations to your grandparents/family- that is something to admire! thanks for hosting!
65 years – wow, that is truly inspiring to hear of your grandparents’ love and committment to each other over such a long period. 🙂
65 years? sweet, sweet, sweet!
Congrats to your grandparents on those 65 years. Having been married, myself, for only 10, I admire those who are able to overcome the humps and hurdles and persevere.
As always, fabulous bunch of links! Thank you so much for hosting!

It says submissions start April 18th. Just wasn’t sure if you knew the linky wasn’t open 🙂

Hi My name is Ren from Lady of The Arts- I have never linked to a event like this- Messed up a bit on the “name” but I am having fun. Thank you for hosting.
Number 7 is so cute. The milk and juice jug lids becoming ladybugs. I’d probably use them as magnets.
I love the new linky with the photos! It’s easier to find and click the ones I’m most interested in reading about further.
thanks for commenting on my blog! as for the amy butler swing bag, it was SO easy, one of the easiest and most clear patterns I have come across. There was one mistake tho, the way she had me attaching the straps, if I had done it her way the straps would have been inside out. So… if you get it, watch the straps!

Hi all,
This is Aris from InLinkz
Just to let you know that when inserting an image, it might take a while to show up properly (no more than a couple of minutes tops). So you might get the blue froggy at first but then it will properly show up.
Cheers!!
Aris,

Thanks, Aris!! 🙂

Sausha @ {show & tell}
I look forward to looking through all these ideas this week but I am kinda bummed that my picture didn’t show up for the tutu I made. Oh well, hopefully the title will attract people!
