FREE FUNNY QUOTE SVG CUT FILES

It’s the 3rd Thursday of the month and that means it’s Blog Hop Thursday! My friends and I have gotten together to create a brand new collection of FREE SVG cut files for your electronic cutting machines.

In the past we’ve done holiday cut files, inspiring SVGs, svgs for the kitchen and so many others. You can find the entire collection HERE and whether you download them today or come back a year from now, they will always be FREE.

The theme for JULY is Funny quotes! Check out what you’ll get for FREE by visiting all the sites linked at the bottom of this post.

IMPORTANT DOWNLOAD INFORMATION

This “Sorry I Was Late, I Didn’t Want to Come” cut file download comes with an SVG and a transparent PNG.

The SVG is on a 8×8 artboard but you can size it up or down to your liking in Silhouette Studio or Cricut Design Space. The PNG is 300 dpi which is perfect for printing if you don’t have an electronic cutting machine.

NOTE: If you have Silhouette Studio basic edition, you will need a DXF file. This file will only be provided upon request.

Your files will be in a zipped folder that you’ll need to extract. It is strongly recommended that you download your files from a laptop or desktop computer.

WHAT DOES SVG STAND FOR AND HOW CAN I USE IT?

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphic. An SVG can also be referred to as a digital cut file. In the DIY world, digital cut files (or SVGs) are used most commonly with the Silhouette and Cricut cutting machines.

These files can be uploaded to the corresponding design software that comes with either machine and are used to cut out designs on various mediums such as vinyl, paper, cardstock, heat transfer vinyl (htv) and more.

What’s great about SVGs is that you can size them up or down and the integrity of the graphic will not be compromised.

WHERE CAN I FIND FREE FILES WITH A COMMERCIAL USE LICENSE?

If you run a small business with your Cricut Maker there is no doubt that you will be on the look out for free commercial use files. One of my all time favorite sites that has a free SVG library (that also comes with png files and a commercial use license) is Creative Fabrica.

If you are a graphic designer who creates your own designs it’s an awesome site when you are in need of that one free font that ties the whole design together.
