In our family my husband’s birthday is right near Father’s Day. Some years his birthday and Father’s Day land on the same day. I always make sure we do something for both because both days are equally as important to us.
But what do you get the man who has everything? When asked my husband usually replies with “nothing”. Sound familiar? Well, if he doesn’t give me any ideas then he will leave me with no choice. Que the handmade gifts.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining. As a matter of fact, any chance I get to take out my Silhouette Cameo and make something handmade is a chance I’m going to take.
Handmade Father’s Day Gifts for Dad
When you start thinking about Handmade Father’s Day Gifts for Dad, what do you think of? Mugs, T-shirts, Tumblers, Necktie Cards….the usual, right? I mean, what dad doesn’t love to wear a cool tee? If I’m being honest, my husband probably has more t-shirts in his wardrobe than any other item.

I took to Facebook a few weeks ago and asked for some Father’s Day SVG suggestions. I had a few of my own jotted down beforehand and then the rest came from my friends and family. There’s something for everyone.

How to use heat transfer vinyl (htv)
Step 1: Upload SVG Design to Silhouette Studio. If you are looking for something other than a Father’s Day SVG, check out my SHOP.
Step 2: Cut out all layers in HTV colors of your choice. (Be sure to mirror image BEFORE cutting).
Step 3: Weed and disgard excess HTV, leaving the design on the heat transfer vinyl backing.
Step 4: Press design onto shirt according to package instructions using either a standard home iron, a heat press or the Cricut EasyPress.
*Note: No matter how many projects I do, I always read the package instructions before ironing my SVG to the materials I’m using.
Favorite Fonts for Creating SVG Cut Files
I love a good handwritten script font. I gravitate towards them when I’m on the hunt for new fonts. For this Father’s Day SVG Bundle I knew I had to take a more masculine route so I hunted for something a little less frilly. Here are the fonts that I used in these designs. Hello! I love your designs. At the end of your Father’s day designs page it says if you missed the mother’s day designs, they are still free. I followed the link and it says they are $5 now.

I am going to take the files to our local craft store and she if they can make me a Iron on of the ones I want for making gifts for my husband for Christmas. I don’t have one of the machines you use for making them so that is the best thing I can do. I will make sure they don’t take some for themselves.
