Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the colors and I especially love the cooler weather. We got teased here in NY with some cool weather early in September and then BAM it went back to hot and muggy – 2 of my least favorite things. Even today, it’s about 72 degrees outside and it’s soooo sticky. Gross. {Update: it has taken me ALL day to do this blog post and now it has finally cooled off……..but now it’s raining!}
Anyhow, I thought my life would have gotten simpler with my 2 oldest going back to school but I just feel like I don’t have time to do anything. I’ve managed to sort of get into a rhythm with laundry but ummm, that’s about it. I was just telling my husband the other day that I feel like I have so much that I NEED to do that I don’t have any time to do the things I WANT to do. I fee like nothing is getting done 100% because I’m just overwhelmed by what to do first. I have not crafted in…..oh about 5 months it seems. I had such grand ideas for embellishing some plain tees that I got the girls for school but I feel like I can’t even whip out my sewing machine because there is an email that needs to be sent; bills that need to get paid; Sunday School schedules to work out’; laundry that needs to be folded and put away. You get the idea.
I’ve barely had time to put up my party post each week. In fact, I missed a week. In the year and a half that I’ve been hosting Just Something I Whipped Up, I don’t think i have missed a single party. I guess that’s what happens when you add a new baby and other responsibilities to your plate.
Before I share with you some cool Pinterest finds, I do have to say that I’m doing good with my eating. I’ve lost about 11 lbs in the last 4 weeks or so and I feel like I have my eating somewhat under control. I’m taking it one day at a time.
Okay, nothing says “Fall” to me than pumpkins. So I figured why not have a Pumpkin Palooza post and share some Pumpkin inspiration.
