Chocolate Easter Bark

The first time I made chocolate bark was for Christmas. My kids went nuts over it and I knew from that point forward I needed to make bark for every occasion. It’s such an easy recipe to make. You can get your kids involved as much or as little as you want. With the crushing of pretzels and spring Oreos to melting the chocolate, there’s something to do for children of all ages.

How to Make Chocolate Bark

First grab all of your ingredients.

Spring Oreos

Pretzels

Easter M&Ms™

Reeses Pieces Eggs

Nerds

Sprinkles

Confetti Sprinkles

2 Bags of White Chocolate Chips

Step One:

Take aluminum foil and line a cookie sheet with it. Break up Oreos and pretzels and layer the bottom of the cookie sheet. Add crushed M&Ms and Reeses Pieces Eggs on top of the Oreo and pretzels layer. You will want to press down so that the crushed chocolates fill in the spots between the Oreos and the pretzels.

Step Two:

In a separate bowl, melt the white chocolate chips. I usually melt one bag at a time in the microwave. It looks something like this: 30 seconds, stir; 15 seconds, stir; and continue at 15 second intervals until all of the chips are melted. Pour the melted chocolate over the cookie sheet and then smooth out. One bag will cover half the cookie sheet so you will have to melt another bag and do the same thing for the second half of the cookie sheet. Add sprinkles on top of the melted white chocolate (Nerds if you want also) and then freeze for about an hour.

Step Three:

Lift the foil off the cookie sheet and then break up the bark. This Easter bark is delicious no matter what but it tastes best when it’s served cold. I usually fill up a few gallon size freezer bags with the finished bark and pop back into my freezer for  easy snacking.
