DIY Halloween Sign with Silhouette {October Specials}

Each month Silhouette runs sales on different products in their shop and what they have going on for October is pretty sweet! They have 2 amazing bundles for those of you who are just itching to finally bite the bullet and get yourself either a Cameo or a Potrait. Or maybe you already own the machine and you just need to stock up on supplies. Either way, you will want to do some shopping during their October sale which runs October 15 – October 24.

I had the fun opportunity to get my hands on their specialty media and I was blown away by how many fun varieties they have. I truly was overwhelmed with making a decision on what to use first. The one that really piqued my curiosity the most was their Adhesive Printable Canvas. So I came up with this adorable DIY Halloween Sign that will come in handy for another project I’m working on later on this week.

I purchased the subway art as one whole image from the Silhouette store for just $0.99. This image was transparent so I filled it with the color black and then printed it out onto the adhesive canvas right from my printer. Then I took a small wooden candlestick holder and a rectangle piece of wood and painted them black. Once dried I peeled the backing off the canvas and stuck it right to the wood. I painted the edges of the canvas a little bit black for a finished look (and because I stuck it a bit crooked to the wood – woops!). Piece of cake! Note: The backing came right off! I love that! It stinks when you have to struggle the back of a label but this really was very easy to use.

I then hot glued the candlestick to the sign and poof! Done!

These are really REALLY great deals. On the Cameo bundle you are saving over $120 and on the Portrait Bundle you are saving over $110. Don’t miss out on the savings. My cameo is by far my favorite crafting tool. You can just do so much with it. Just follow Silhouette on Pinterest and you will see.
