DIY Hair Clips
I know in recent posts I’ve talked a bit about our new little addition, Kole but I also have 2 silly little girls, Emilee 7 and Gracie 5. Here they are doing a couple of little modeling poses on Gracie’s birthday this past July.
These 2 little girls make me laugh, make me cry and bring adventure to my life. One of these great “adventures” takes place every time they take a bath or shower. And I have to comb out those curly heads of hair. I’d be lying if I said it was a fun time! They totally make me nuts! But, i never want to chop it all off like i repeatedly threaten to (he he he) so they can be seen in a pony tail 99% of the time.
Today Gracie had a little clip in the front of her hair and it made me think that I wanted to make some hair clips for new school year. Here is some inspiration that I found:
Rosettes from Mrs. Priss
Pinwheel Hair Clips from The Mother Huddle
Cute Flower Clips from Emily’s Little World
Satin Poppy Hair Clips from Brown Paper Packages
My girls are going to their grandparents next week and it looks like I have some work to do! 🙂 I’m pretty sure I took some pictures of the flower clips that I made back in the Spring (pictured in Emilee’s hair in the photos above) but I can’t find them anywhere. Boooo!! If I ever find them, I will do a tutorial in a separate post.

Love the silly poses! I made something similar to the ones you posted: http://acraftyescape.blogspot.com/2010/03/felt-clippies.html
Those are adorable,Pati! I love the one where the clip part looks like a leaf and there is a rose at the end. So pretty!
Cute poses! Love it!
1 Year Old Birthday Party Ideas
Ohh, this reminds me of my childhood. My hair would get so tangled, and my head was so sensitive, sometimes my dad would have to grab the scissors and cut out big chunks from underneath. I know, random memory.
Also, I love those pictures of your girls. Those poses! They made me laugh. You can tell they are friends.
Oh how cute! 🙂 And Di… your girls are soooo adorable and look very much like you, especially Emilee.
I really love these. Madelyn’s got the curls too and I’m always putting it up to save on knots. (she just had her first haircut this week) She’s starting to LOVE having things to put in her hair, besides ice cream and I think she’d love these. The girls are beautiful. So pretty and growing up too fast.
I am always inspired by the posts on your blog. I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award, and get to pass it on to 15 other excellent bloggers. Visit http://Sunla-Designs.blogspot.com for more info!
