June 7 was National Cancer Survivors Day and in honor of that I created this Celebrate Life printable.
I recently received an email from someone who is a cancer survivor. Against all odds and after a bleak diagnosis, Heather is a cancer survivor who has a pretty amazing story to tell. She asked me if I would be interested in sharing her story and of course I said yes. You can find out more here.
Cancer is an ugly disease. And it’s one that the average person can relate to in one way or another. I’ve seen relatives and close friends get diagnosed with cancer. Some made it and some did not. We hear a lot about some of the most common forms of cancer like leukemia, breast cancer, lung cancer, etc. but have you heard of Mesothelioma? It’s a rare cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Heather was given 15 months to live. That was 10 years ago. She is a cancer survivor and she is on a mission to raise awareness of this awful disease.
I hope you will stop by Heather’s blog and social media sites to say hello and to show your support. Don’t forget to download the printable too!
