Featured Projects from Just Something I Whipped Up!

I know I said I was taking a break until after the baby but I just can’s stay away. Actually I’ve been taking it really easy and staying off my kitchen chairs as much as possible (they are of the devil I’ve learned! And my source of my really bad days with the sciatica. lol) so some days have been much more bearable than others. Praise God! Still no baby yet which is getting REALLY OLD! lol I’m realizing that I am not happy not being able to do things like I normally do. Cleaning, cooking and laundry has been a chore (no pun intended) and I feel helpless. There is so much to be done around the house and I just can’t do any of it. Sigh.

Okay enough of my whining. ;) I’m excited to report that the babies room is under way and my husband is tackling molding for the first time. We bought a miter saw last year and to date had not used it. Well, all that’s changing baby! He’s turned into my handyman the last few weeks and I. LOVE. IT!!!! Mr. GC installed a ceiling fan in the girls new room AND in Kole’s new room AND he did all the wiring and spackling himself. Today we picked up a nail gun and boy oh boy I can hardly wait to get my hands on that thing! I’ve been itching to get a hold of some tools and start doing things so I’m excited for the months to come. :)

But……..all that was not the reason for this post. I wanted to feature some of the amazing projects that were linked up during this week’s Just Something I Whipped Up party. We had about 480 entries. Awesome!!!!!

First up is this bathroom closet redo by Liz Marie. Love the colors, the furniture, the style, all of it!

I have a LOT of furniture to paint this summer so I’m loving the inspiration from this dresser redo from The Frosted Gardner.

Wow, check out this beautiful French Farm Kitchen Remodel from Shabby French Cottage. There is so much detail in this, you will go nuts.

Check out this unique spin on garland! Nature Inspired Vintage Garland from House Revivals.

Anyone need some new throw pillows? Check these out:

Now for some snacks to top it all off! Maybe I should have posted those first so that you could have whipped up some of these goodies and then plopped down in front of your computer to check out all of this creative goodness
I nearly stopped dead in my tracks when I came across these:
I’m drooling. Someone grab me a napkin!
Anything with coconut, I’m there! I think my girls would fall in love with these little Baby Bird Cuppies from A Turtle’s Life for Me
Thank you so much to everyone who linked up this week. Please grab a featured button from my sidebar if you found your project linked up here.:)
I hope to have some baby news soon! 12 days and counting………

Readers Rock – Saturday Shout Out!

What a week this has been!! Mr. GC had the week off as did the kids and we spent the whole week redoing our living room. We ditched an old school entertainment center/TV and replaced it with a nice flat screen, painted the living room and hallway (and all the trim) and got a new rug. I’m in the process of making curtains (why, oh why did I take this project on???) and throw pillows so I’m hoping to have everything completed this week so that I can post some pictures. We were so busy I even missed my Zumba class this week. Bummer! I really needed it too……..I’ve been eating like it’s going out of style!

But, enough ranting from me, let’s get to……..oh WAIT! I almost forgot! We got a table saw! I’m so excited! I have no idea how to use it but I can not wait to get my hands on it! :)

Okay, for real now, here are some awesome projects from our Just Something I Whipped Up party this week.

Check out this chocolate nest and cake eggs from Under the Table and Dreaming.

Completely adorable camera bag and strap from The Little Green Bean

Egg love notes from Love Actually. What a cute idea!

Vintage number canisters from Beyond the Picket Fence

What a beautiful table scape from House of Grace

Readers Rock – Weekday Shout Out

I didn’t get a chance to do my weekend edition of Readers Rock so I decided to do it today. While my salsa jars are soaking (cool project coming up using those later on in the week) I wanted to share with you what projects really caught my eye during last week’s Just Something I Whipped Up!

I usually only list about 5 that I really love but I’m feeling a little feisty and I think I’ll list 10 this week! Whoa!
If you haven’t seen these projects before, please take a stroll over to their blog and leave them some comment love. :)
In random order:
Check out this ribbon wreath over at The Phillips Fam. Way cute!
Old photos display over at Junk Fest made from vintage lawn mower parts. Brilliant.
Bathroom mirror make-over at Domestically Speaking. She hot glued the molding. Genius!
Basket made from vintage jello molds from Tales from an OC Cottage. Soooo creative.

Love these baby blocks from All Things Pink & Crafty. Blocks never get old, do they?

Check out this fleece vest by Joy 2 Sew. I swear it’s store bought, it’s that good!
I’m in love with this adorable cupcake stand from Mama Thompson. Those cupcakes aren’t bad either!
I soooooo want one of these! It’s a little bed pin cushion by The Craft In Me
And last but not least an ironing board cover from Dirt Cheap Decor. Love it!! Going on my “to do” list. :)
Thanks so much to EVERYONE who links up each week! You guys are amazing!! If you saw your post in this weeks Readers Rock, please go HERE and grab a “TGC Found Me” button to show off. :)
