Stylish Ways to Organize

In my years of being a professional organizer and decorator, there is always the challenge.  Is it form over function or function over form?

I think it depends on who you are ;)

Seriously though, in life there is always a spectrum.  Those who are utilitarian and those who love beauty above all else.  In reality most of us need a combination of the two.

This bookcase is a great example.  It is a beautiful way to store items and items are stored beautifully.

This next one is a great way to make a family planning station:

Other great ways to stylishly organize:

Baskets and trays instantly neaten and organize.  Use them for mail, magazines, remote controls , items to look at later - great way to corral the clutter.

Hooks are another great tool.  Make it easy to hang bags, keys and jackets with stylish hooks.

And last, think double duty.  This is actually a three drawer filing cabinet.  It could easily be used in a dining room as a buffet, a living room as a media center {cute baskets underneath} or even as a sofa table.

What are your favorite stylish ways to organize?

Love,
Bev

    1. It is fantastic. I have used it in several clients homes with baskets underneath in both the green and black. I keep going back to it since I found it way back in 2006. XO Bev

  4. I'm definitely function over form.

I love my filing cabinet (sadly not as pretty as that one) and my label machine.

I also like cute little boxes that I can leave within easy reach without looking like an eyesore ;o)
